We were too close to the stars
In celestial dance, we twirled so near,
A cosmic waltz, whispers we could hear.
We brushed against the stars, our hearts aglow,
Too close, perhaps, to the universe's show.
Galaxies sighed in envy of our embrace,
Constellations adorned our shared space.
Yet, like meteors fleeting, we burned too bright,
Falling from heights, a bittersweet flight.
Our love, a comet streaking through the night,
Igniting the heavens with pure delight.
But astral closeness took its toll,
Fading echoes of a love once whole.
We grazed the heavens, a sublime affair,
Yet in celestial realms, love is rare.
Too close to stars, we played our part,
Leaving behind a trail in the cosmic chart.
